On the first day of early voting in the presidential elections in Belarus, the turnout of citizens was 7.81%

On the first day of early voting in the presidential elections in the Republic of Belarus, the turnout was 7.81%. This was reported to BELTA by the Central Election Commission.
In Brest Oblast, 8.95% of citizens received ballots, in Vitebsk Oblast – 7.45%, in Gomel Oblast – 7.01%, in Grodno Oblast – 6.08%, in Minsk Oblast – 8.52%, in Mogilev Oblast – 7.25%, in Minsk – 8.54%.
44,361 national observers are monitoring the voting process in the country.
Early voting will take place from 21 to 25 January 2025. During this period, voters who will not be able to come to the polling stations on 26 January have the right to vote. During early voting, precinct commissions will work from 12:00 to 19:00 without a break.
On January 26, the main election day, voting will take place from 8:00 to 20:00.
