The district harvest festival is more than just a celebration; it is a tribute to the people whose hands produce our land’s greatest treasure—grain. Perhaps the most spectacular highlights of the event are the competitions for the best sheaf, the best ceremonial karavai (traditional festive bread), and the best farmstead display, where local agricultural enterprises showcase their craftsmanship and creativity.

And there was truly plenty to see! Plump, aromatic loaves adorned with intricate dough patterns, majestic sheaves of golden grain, and charming farmstead displays stood as symbols of prosperity, fertility, and heartfelt gratitude to the native soil for its bountiful harvest. Each entry represents more than just the fruits of labor; it embodies the story, character, and soul of the farm itself.

Selecting the best entries was truly difficult. Each karavai—the traditional ceremonial bread—was a work of art; every sheaf, a testament to hard work and love for the land. The jury had to evaluate both the presentation and the originality of the concept. Yet, winners were ultimately chosen.

The award for the best karavai went to JSC “Dembrovo” for their creation titled “Happiness in the Home.” One glance was enough to see it had been crafted with love, intended to bring happiness and goodwill. This rich, aromatic loaf became the very embodiment of hospitality, while the flag of the Republic of Belarus crowning it underscored the central theme: unity and pride in one’s native land.

The “Gold of the Fields” sheaf—presented by SPU Protasovshchina (part of Grodnooblgaz)—was equally impressive in craftsmanship. It stood out from the rest thanks to its abundance of golden stalks and its imposing size, measuring over one and a half meters in height.

The homestead competition was won by the entry from JSC Vasilishki. It featured an incredible array of displays: straw sculptures, an exhibition of harvest bounty proudly labeled “Made in Belarus,” a cradle, and even the homestead’s own little hostess—a dog keeping watch over the site.

Congratulations to the winners! Thank you to everyone who works the land! May our fields continue to yield bountiful harvests, and may there always be fresh bread on our tables!
